Basic Life Support Ambulance

Basic Life Support (BLS) Ambulances fall under the patient care ambulances category. This type of ambulance is equipped to treat patients en route. In the patient care ambulances category there are two types:

Class B ambulances are prepared to provide BLS en route, offering initial healthcare and transfer of a non-critical patient to a hospital or medical centre. This type of ambulance is equipped with suitable sanitary and intervention material to address emergency care needs en route.

They normally transfer stable patients with no risk to life but who may require continuous attention by health personnel and basic care during transport.

Basic Life Support Ambulance Equipment

As detailed in Royal Decree 836/2012, Basic Life Support Ambulances (Class B) must have, at minimum, the following material inside:
